S.P.Q.R. classes are taught by award-winning artist and instructor Brett Andrus. Andrus is a Colorado Springs native and co-founder of the downtown Arts Alley District. He attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, receiving his degrees in Painting and Art History. In 2016, Andrus was named the Visual Artist of Excellence at the Pikes Peak Arts Council Awards and received the distinction of a Colorado Springs Mayor's Young Leader nomination in Creative Industry. In 9 years of  teaching at the S.P.Q.R. Art Space, Andrus has had the pleasure of working with close to 400 students, seeing many of them go on to launch art careers of their own.

Andrus doesn't believe in talent -- he believes in hard work, and that making art is a learned skill set that can be taught. Whether you are just dipping your toe, or have been doing this for years, your artistic life and creative skill will be enriched through this offering of classes.

Classes run for eight weeks, meeting once per week. For pricing and course listings, visit this page.
